Job summary

The State of Colorado, through the Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services, is seeking Courtesy Aides in the Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle to provide basic hands-on patient care in a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include assessments, hygiene, mobility support, and documentation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, obtain CNA licensure within 120 days of hire, and maintain CPR certification and immunizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire date.
• Current, valid CNA certification can substitute for the diploma/GED.
• CPR certification and vaccinations required by state and facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assessments including vital signs, weight, I&O, and skin checks.
• Implement infection control and universal precautions.
• Clean linen room, stock supplies, and complete supply forms.
• Use safety devices and transfer equipment correctly.
• Attend ongoing staff education programs.
• Other duties as assigned by nursing staff.
