Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to provide quality care for residents and support activities of daily living. You will assist with ADLs, meals, and resident mobility while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The role requires CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), effective communication, and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must safely lift and transfer residents with proper body mechanics.
• Must wear designated uniform including name badge.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must represent the community positively and professionally.
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident apartments and common areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities.
• Monitor resident attendance at meals and activities.
• Report resident status or concerns to the appropriate individuals.
• Provide emotional support during move-in transitions.
• Represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
