Job summary

Asheville Detox Center seeks a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to support clients recovering from addiction and assist the treatment team in daily operations. You will help manage the facility schedule, participate in intake, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, be 18+, and pass background checks and drug tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Background check and drug test required by HCANA policies.
• 6 months behavioral health experience preferred.
• Understanding of recovery models (12-steps, Refuge Recovery) and related literature.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to clients at the facility.
• Encourage participation in treatment plans and sessions.
• Assist in intake and orientation processes.
• Help facilitate the daily schedule and rounds.
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Follow ADC policies and procedures and support daily operations.
• Document client interactions and incidents accurately in records.
