Job summary

University Home Care Inc in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a compassionate Assisting Living Building Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities in our welcoming assisted living community. You will help with grooming, bathing, dressing and mobility, ensuring safety and comfort while promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living or caregiving preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Compassion and patience in resident care.
• Able to lift and assist residents safely.
• Flexible shifts availability.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers safely and respectfully.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ condition and behavior, reporting changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the living environment following company policies.
• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies or resident needs.
