Qualifications

• Texas RN license must be current and active.
• Minimum of 1 year of staff nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Working knowledge of ASAM criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients with substance use and mental health conditions.
• Provide nursing care following the nursing process.
• Administer and document medications per provider orders and Texas rules.
• Monitor vital signs and related assessments.
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Complete medication reconciliation and maintain records.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, EKGs, and urine screens as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and treatment team.
• Participate in treatment and nursing meetings.
• Educate patients and families about medications, wellness, and recovery.
• Maintain infection control standards and supply management.
• Document nursing care, incidents, and patient responses.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with laws and policies.
• Complete continuing education and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
