Job summary

Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at South Hills is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to support planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for participants and residents. You will help foster engagement, mobility, and social connection throughout each day.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds for setup and transport of materials, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in recreation, customer service, healthcare, or senior care is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with activity setup.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily activity programs, including events, holiday celebrations, and entertainment.
• Encourage participation and provide individual support during activities, promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Set up, decorate, and clean activity areas before and after events, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
• Transport participants or residents to and from activities when needed, demonstrating empathy and kindness.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families, and team members, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with inventory, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Document attendance and participant involvement as required, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
