Job summary

The Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Comparative Ophthalmology. Appointment may be Tenure or Clinical track depending on background and goals.

The successful candidate will join an internationally recognized ophthalmology team, supporting clinical care, teaching, and research at UW Veterinary Care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Eligibility for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin by start date is required.
• ACVO Board Certified Diplomates or ECVO board-eligible at appointment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Clinical service, classroom, laboratory and clinical teaching.
• Research activity and scholarly output.
• Service to the department and school, with after-hours clinic duty as needed.
• Lead rounds and participate in resident-based or student-based rounds.
