Job summary

Norbet-Trucking in East Chicago, IN is seeking professional CDL-A drivers for steady regional work. You will operate tractor-trailers, load and secure freight, and ensure timely, safe deliveries to local customers.

This role requires a valid CDL-A, a clean three-year driving record, and the ability to work layovers up to 1–2 nights during the week. TWIC is beneficial; weekends are not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three year’s operating flatbed.
• Experience hauling steel is a plus.
• Commercial Driver's License - A required.
• TWIC card beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and secure freight to prevent movement and ensure safe transport.
• Assist in loading and unloading as required.
• Layover is possible for 1 or 2 nights during the week. No Weekends
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips.
• Work with dispatch for delivery assignments and road service throughout the day.
• Read bill of lading to determine assignment schedule.
• Report all incidents and accidents accurately and timely within DOT-required processes.

Experience:

• Experience hauling steel a plus
• Minimum three year’s operating flatbed.
• Driving record must be three years traffic accident and violation free.

Pay:

• $32/hr.

License:

• Commercial Driver's license - A
• TWIC card beneficial
