Job summary

Universal Dedicated of Detroit is seeking CDL-A drivers for local shuttle routes based in Detroit, MI. These roles offer daily home time, a union position (Teamsters Local 299), and steady freight with regular 8–9 hour workdays.

Shifts are 1st shift, with 2-3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations. OT after 40 hours is common; seniority-based route bidding occurs every 6 months.

Qualifications

Universal Dedicated of Detroit is seeking reliable CDL-A drivers for local shuttle routes based in Detroit, MI. This is a great opportunity to join a union position with steady freight, consistent schedules, and daily home time. Position Details: Local shuttle routes (home daily) 1st shift opening Light touch freight (not loading and unloading but will involve chaining or strapping up loads that drivers are held accountable for) 2-3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations Consistent 8-9 hour workdays OT after 40 hours (5-10 hours usually for 5 day work week. more if a 6th day is offered) Stable, year-round work Union position (Teamsters Local 299) Seniority-based route bidding every 6 months
