Job summary

Universal Dedicated of Detroit is hiring CDL-A shuttle drivers for local routes based in Detroit, MI. The role features home daily schedules, a first shift from 5:00 am to 2:30 pm, and 8–9 hour days with overtime after 40 hours.

Expect 2–3 runs per day, with seniority-based route bidding every six months and a Teamsters Local 299 union environment. Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL, be at least 21, possess a clean driving record, and meet DOT requirements.

Universal Dedicated of Detroit is seeking reliable CDL-A drivers for local shuttle routes based in Detroit, MI.

Terminal Location: 14250 Plymouth Rd Detroit, MI

Pay: $22.50/hour experienced drivers $21.00/hour for 0-1 year experience After 1 year jumps to $24.25/hour

Position Details

• Local shuttle routes (home daily)
• 1st shift opening 5 am - 2:30 pm
• Light touch freight (not loading and unloading but will involve chaining or strapping up loads that drivers are held accountable for)
• 2–3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations
• Consistent 8–9 hour workdays OT after 40 hours (5-10 hours usually for 5 day work week. more if a 6th day is offered)
• Stable, year-round work
• Union position (Teamsters Local 299)
• Seniority-based route bidding every 6 months
