Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $17.00/hr

We are hiring per diem Companion IIs to join our care team at Athena Care at Home in Deep River!

Weekly pay at $17/hour. This on-the-road position requires an active driver’s license and insured vehicle. $1,000 sign-on bonus!

This position involves supervising safety and assisting clients with daily activities to help them stay in their homes. You will provide compassionate nonmedical personal care, including housekeeping, hygiene support, and more.

Education & Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active and unencumbered CNA, PCA, or HHA license in the state.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, ambulation, eating/feeding, continence care.
• Monitor skin health and perform ROM and muscle exercises.
• Turn and position clients as required.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Manage prosthetics and orthotics.
• Plan and prepare meals, shop for groceries.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments.
• Monitor and support clients in completing care activities.
• Report changes in client status.
• Perform routine household tasks as per care plan, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Drive clients to outings and provide emotional support.

Specific Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and listening skills.
• Reliable transportation, insured vehicle.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to make professional judgments and handle multiple tasks.
• Access to a working phone for communication.
