About the Role:

A Special Touch In Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping, errands, medication reminders, and other tasks to improve the client’s living environment.

Available Schedules: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM; 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM; 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM; 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

1. Providing companionship and engaging in conversation
2. Assisting with personal hygiene and dressing
3. Supporting mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
4. Preparing meals and snacks
5. Performing light housekeeping activities
6. Providing medication reminders
7. Assisting with errands and shopping
8. Educating family members on safe care techniques

Qualifications:

• MUST live within 10 miles of St. Albans, WV
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role preferred
• First aid and CPR certification preferred
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Tolerant of small pets
• Compassionate, respectful, and ethical
• Hoyer lift experience preferred
