Job summary

Home Helpers of Bergen County in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Companion Caregivers to visit elderly clients in their homes. You will provide companionship, help with errands, prepare meals, light housekeeping, and support daily safety and wellbeing while building trusted relationships in a friendly, respectful manner.

We offer flexible schedules with 4–6 hour shifts, mileage reimbursement where applicable, a supportive management team, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Caring, dependable, and punctual.
• Prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required - we will train the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

You are spending meaningful time with elderly clients in their own homes - keeping them company, helping with errands, preparing meals, light housekeeping, and engaging them in activities that bring joy and purpose to their day. Most importantly, you'll be someone they look forward to seeing.
