Job summary

Right at Home Torrance seeks dedicated Companion Caregivers to provide in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, and social engagement.

Ideal candidates are retirees seeking part-time, flexible work with meaningful impact. Must have caregiving experience, English literacy, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to pass a background check; Home Care Aide certification or CNA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing in-home care to seniors or adults with disabilities.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and pass a background check.
• Certification: Home Care Aide; CNA license preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help clients transfer and move within the home.
• Provide light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc.).
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to preferences.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Provide companionship through activities (reading, puzzles, music, conversations).
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises and medication reminders.
