Right at Home Torrance is seeking dedicated Companion Caregivers to provide in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation to appointments. This part-time role offers flexibility and meaningful, local work for retirees.

You will build trusting relationships in clients' homes, support independence, follow care plans, and adhere to safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience is required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and pass a background check.
• Registered as a Home Care Aide; CNA license is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with transfers and mobility within the home.
• Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship through reading, puzzles, music, and conversations.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Support prescribed ROM exercises and medication reminders.

Companion Caregiver

Job Summary:

As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes, helping them with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Help clients transfer or move from one location to another within their home

• Provide housekeeping assistance (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, and more)

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to client preferences

• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments

• Offer companionship through activities like reading, puzzles, music, and conversations

• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises and medication reminders

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Previous experience in caregiving is required

• Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English

• Must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and pass a background check

• Certifications: Registered as a Home Care Aide; CNA license also preferred
