Job summary

Hand n Hand Home Health Care in Oak Ridge & Clinton, TN is seeking a dependable Caregiver/Companion Driver to transport a client to medical appointments, provide companionship, and assist with light household tasks.

The role emphasizes reliability, attentive service, and ensuring the client’s safety and comfort in community settings, with potential additional hours as needed. Mundays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, paid bi-weekly at $15.00–$16.00 per hour plus mileage.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Current automobile insurance is required.
• Reliable personal vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass all required background screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Previous caregiving, companion care, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and patient personality.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport the client to and from scheduled appointments.
• Remain with the client at the appointment location until they are called back by the provider.
• Wait on-site until the appointment is completed and assist the client back to the vehicle.
• Provide companionship and support throughout the outing.
• Ensure timely arrival and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Accompany the client on grocery shopping trips and other community outings.
• Assist with running errands as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying common areas, washing dishes, light laundry, organizing household items.
