Job summary

UMC HomeWorks in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Companion Caregiver to support seniors at home. No experience or certification required; choose day, evening, or night shifts and earn $16 to $20 per hour, plus an online training scholarship to become a Certified Home Health Aide.

You will accompany clients to appointments, prepare meals, help with light housekeeping, and share activities to keep them active and connected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to read, write, and speak English to follow care plans and communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Go with clients to appointments, shopping, errands, social outings, and religious services.
• Plan, cook, and share meals together.
• Do light housekeeping to keep the home clean and safe.
• Play games, talk, and do activities clients enjoy.
• Follow the care plan from our nurses and report any changes or safety concerns.

What You'll Need

• $16-$20/hour, based on shift, level of care, and weekend scheduling
