We are hiring a companion aide for our female client in the Hatfield area. No experience is required; full training is available.

Qualifications

• Be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
• Show compassion and empathy toward the elderly, sick, and disabled.

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

1. Function within the limitations of the individual assignment.
2. Provide supervision and companionship activities that promote the client’s well-being. These services typically do not involve hands-on care such as bathing and dressing.
3. Attend to the client's requests promptly.
4. Provide companionship, socialization, and light housekeeping services.
5. Assist with food preparation when included in the Aide Care Plan.
6. Treat clients and families with respect and maintain confidentiality.
7. Accept and fulfill assignments with the Agency, exercising judgment in accepting assignments.
8. Attend required in-service programs per Agency policy.
