Job summary

Allaire Rehab & Nursing in Freehold, NJ, is seeking a compassionate Companion Aide to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves front desk support, assisting residents with daily activities, meals, and social companionship to help residents feel at home.

Qualifications

• Ability to treat and care for seniors with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the front desk duties as needed.
• Passing of ice waters each shift.
• Passing of snacks as needed.
• Making the beds and keeping rooms neat for new admissions.
• Assisting new admissions to feel at home and settle in (unpacking and labeling clothing).
• Accompany residents to appointments or outings.
• Maintain open communication between clients and their families as a liaison.
• Companionship 1:1 if assigned.
• Assist during meal time with passing, feeding and collecting trays.
