Job summary

Christwood in Covington, LA is seeking compassionate CNAs to provide one-on-one daily living assistance, including bathing, grooming, transfers, feeding and peri care, and to help maintain a safe, clean environment.

This role requires twelve-hour shifts with some weekend and holiday work; CNA licensure is preferred but not required. Join our not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitative services.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant providing day and evening support.
• Duties include activities of daily living assistance and companion care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, transfers, feeding and peri care.
• Provide supervision, companionship and observation for client needs.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and monitor changes in condition.

Qualification

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant** This position is for day and evening shifts.

Companions offer one on one assistance with senior clients assisting them with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, transfer assist, feeding, pericare etc.) as well as non-clinical assistance, supervision, companionship and support. The Companion provides generalized attention to the needs of clients and are responsible for ensuring a safe, clean environment and observing any changes in the client's needs. Must be able to work twelve-hour shifts and available to work some weekends and holidays. CNA license preferred but not required, will be responsible with working with clients who may have animals present in their homes (dogs and cats).
