Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a skilled Compactor Repair Technician to diagnose and repair compactors on the road and in the shop. The role includes pre-trip checks and maintaining vehicle integrity while communicating defects daily to the shop.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year field experience, knowledge of high voltage, and welding/fabrication skills. A clean CDL and DOT permit are required; electrical or compactor certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of proven field experience.
• Ability to work ~45 hours per week (Mon-Fri, rotating Saturdays).
• Knowledge of high voltage 208v, 460/480v, and 120v (low).
• Electric or compactor repair certification a major plus.
• Welding/fabrication experience a major plus.
• Clean driving license & DOT permit 26,000 and under.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose compactors on the road and in the shop.
• Pre-trip checks and maintain service truck integrity; report defects daily.
• Follow safety procedures including lock out tag out; high risk of incident.
• Read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and diagrams.

Job description

WIN Waste is currently looking for a skilled Compactor Repair Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compactor repair and diagnosis -on the road and in the shop
• Pre trip and maintain service truck integrity -communicate defects to shop via dvir daily
• Must be safety conscious and follow all our procedures for lock out tag out - High risk for incident
• Must have complete working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components. Not limited to, but primarily, Self-Contained VIP, Mini Mac .

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in the field
• Ability to work an average of 45 hours a week. Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays
• Must have Knowledge of high voltage - 208v, 460/480v, & 120v (low)
• Certification for electric, or compactor repair CERT a major plus
• Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus
• Must have clean Driving license & DOT permit 26,000 and under.
• Must possess ability to weld mild steel, Stick (electrode) Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and also use oxygen acetylene torch.
• Ability to read electronic diagram, a plus

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

• Strenuous physical work, to include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling
• Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to maintain and supply own personal tools needed to perform essential duties
• This position is a mobile position and shop.
