Role Description

The Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This position oversees daily field operations, including coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. The superintendent monitors project milestones, conducts site inspections, and proactively addresses field issues to keep projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities also include maintaining jobsite documentation, communicating with project managers and clients, and enforcing quality control standards. The role requires consistent presence on the jobsite to lead crews, support problem-solving, and uphold company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising commercial construction projects, including managing daily field activities and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to coordinate schedules, track progress, and assist in resolving project delays or conflicts.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to work with clients, project managers, trades, and inspectors.
• Proficiency in basic construction-related software and tools (e.g., email, scheduling software, digital plan review).
• Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, quality control, and clean, organized work environments.
• Prior experience as a superintendent, foreperson, or similar role in commercial construction is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or construction-related education is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, with reliable transportation and flexibility for project needs.
