As a shuttle driver, you’ll engage with passengers while providing safe, carefree transportation between Ellensburg and Yakima. This job is a rewarding employment experience for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and can consistently deliver high-caliber customer service.

Now hiring FULL-TIME and / or PART-TIME DRIVERS: Split shift hours
1 - 0630-1230
2 - 1230-1800

Training wage is $23.00 an hour. Wage increases to $24.50 an hour once driving solo. Plus, a quarterly safety and performance incentive bonus of 50 cents per hour for every hour worked!

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operating shuttle buses
• Operating vehicle equipment (e.g., passenger lift)
• Inspecting equipment to identify cause of errors, problems, or defects
• Following safety procedures for vehicle operation
• Providing transportation information to customers
• Documenting/recording driver logs and passenger counts
• Assisting/loading passengers with luggage, ability to lift 50 lbs
• Collecting fares or payment from customers
• Notifying passengers and other staff of emergencies, problems, and hazards

Certificate and Licenses:

• Valid CDL A or B
• Passenger Endorsement
• Air Brake Endorsement
• Clean Driving Record
• Valid DOT Medical Card

Other Requirements:

• Ability to pass a DOT/FTA drug screening.
• 25 years of age or older.

The Nature Of The Job

This position spends the majority of the working hours inside the bus. At shuttle stops, each driver is required to be outside to check passengers in and out and take care of the passenger's luggage needs.

- Shift is split as follows:

Start

05:30 to 09:00 = 3.5 hours

Then, fill the rest of the morning doing what you enjoy.

Return in the afternoon

12:30 to 18:45 = 6.25 hours
