Job summary

Town of Jackson, START Bus is hiring a full-time, year-round Commuter Transit Operator. The role transports passengers to and from Teton Valley over Teton Pass and drives local Jackson routes. Residency required in Teton Valley, ID where the route originates.

Hiring range is $62,400 annually or $30/hour to $66,560 annually or $32/hour, DOQ. Benefits include health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, paid leave, retirement, and various stipends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Wyoming Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement required.
• Experience driving passenger buses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport commuter passengers to and from Teton Valley over Teton Pass and local routes in Jackson.
• Operate safely and professionally per DOT regulations.
• May require weekend work and residency in Teton Valley ID for origin routes.

Job description

Town of Jackson, START Bus is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round, Commuter Transit Operator. Hiring range $62,400 or $30/hr - $66,560 or $32/hr DOQ.

Primary duties include transporting commuter passengers to and from Teton Valley over Teton Pass and driving local routes in Jackson. Residency required in Teton Valley, ID where the route originates.

• health, vision, dental insurance, matching contributions into your Health Savings Account, life insurance at no cost to the employee, short and long term disability insurance, paid leave of 152 hours annually with separate 8 hour holiday stipend provided with each holiday, Wyoming Retirement System, $1000 annual match into Wyoming deferred comp, shift differential for driving Teton Pass routes of $1.50/hour, and a report stipend of $37.74/day

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, a Wyoming Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Passenger (P) endorsement, and experience driving passenger buses.

May include weekend work.
