Job summary

Oak Hill Supportive Living in Round Lake Beach, IL, is seeking a dedicated Community Transportation Driver to safely operate the community bus/van, transporting residents to appointments and outings.

You will assist residents on and off the vehicle, including wheelchair lift, ensure safe arrivals, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and document maintenance and transportation requests with a professional, compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist residents in boarding/alighting, including wheelchair lift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate community bus/van for residents to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents on/off vehicle and use wheelchair lift as needed.
• Plan routes and coordinate multiple requests with scheduling staff.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete maintenance forms.
• Build supportive relationships with residents and families.
• Follow community policies and procedures for transportation.
