Bowery Residents' Committee seeks a Community Technician to provide a steady, trusted presence for residents experiencing homelessness on every shift.

You will monitor and support residents, apply trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques, and document outcomes while collaborating with a mission-driven team. This role offers overtime opportunities and comprehensive on-site training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.

Responsabilités

Community Technician

Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week | 24/7 Program | Mandatory Overtime

At BRC, every shift matters. As a Community Technician, you’re a consistent, trusted presence for individuals experiencing homelessness—often supporting people in moments of crisis, uncertainty, or transition.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques

Schedule

• Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
• Morning, evening, and overnight shifts available
• Mandatory overtime required
