The Community Support Specialist supports the Company’s goals related to the financial facets of onsite operations by completing accounting, bookkeeping and other financial responsibilities related to assigned portfolio of communities. Additionally, the Community Support Specialist will prepare financial close out, ensure accuracy and process all payables, and will be responsible for resident and vendor communication and related accounting and financial transactions as necessary. The Community Support Specialist works in-office at Greystar's corporate office in Memphis, TN.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents, and answer questions about the property’s financial operation. Demonstrated proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to complete required reports and employment documents. Strong proficiency in using property management software (preferably Yardi and Entrata). Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to validate and calculate payment information. Demonstrated understanding of property operations and, in particular, of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections. Employment history that demonstrates the application of property management, accounting, and customer service background sufficient to assist in managing the day-to-day operation of an apartment community, resolve customer complaints and issues, and complete financial records, documents, and reports. College degree in related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Minimum of one year of accounting, property management, or other related experience preferred.
The salary for this position is $55,000.
Additional Compensation: Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
