Job summary

Empowering People's Independence (EPI) in Rochester, NY seeks dedicated staff to assist individuals with brain injury, developmental disabilities, and other neurological conditions. You will advocate for individuals’ rights, support daily living activities, and help implement personal goal plans in a community-based setting.

The role includes transportation as needed, documentation, teamwork, and adherence to safety and program policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year human services experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks; customer requests handling; deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and well-being of the individuals served by EPI.
• Provide supervision, training, and assistance in activities of daily living; transport as directed.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation per regulations.
• Report policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist management with individuals’ personal goal plans; attend staff meetings.
• Promote workplace safety.
