Job summary

The Gateway Region YMCA, located in the St. Louis metropolitan area, seeks a full-time exempt coordinator to lead community programs and manage staff and volunteers. The role focuses on developing services that align with YMCA objectives and expands programs to serve diverse communities.

You will recruit, train, and supervise teams, monitor budgets, and participate in fundraising and events. A 4-year degree and YMCA certifications help, with opportunities for growth in a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. YMCA program-specific certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers; reviews staff performance and motivates teams.
• Establishes new program activities and expands programs within the community per plans.
• Assists in marketing and distributes program information; may process scholarships and registrations.
