Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island, Inc. seeks a qualified clinician to provide trauma-focused assessments and enhanced services for children, youth, and caregivers in office and community settings, using evidence-based practices like TST, PCIT, and DBT.

You'll collaborate with case managers, psychiatric staff, and other providers, and respond to crises when needed. Remote work is not specified; on-site responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human services required.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in Rhode Island as a social worker, marriage and family therapist, or mental health counselor.
  • Experience with children exposed to trauma preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking preferred; compensation offered.
  • Flexible schedule with some evenings.
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual/ASL skills compensated (6%); multilingual skills (8%).

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and evidence-based services (e.g., TST, PCIT, DBT).
  • Collaborate with case managers, psychiatric team, and other providers for quality care.
  • Provide emergency crisis intervention/assessment when needed.
  • Join a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement practices with fidelity.

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community!Position Summary: Provides trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth and their caregivers in the community and in the office using evidence-based practices such as Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Collaborates on cases with case managers, psychiatric team, and other service providers to ensure best client care. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed. Works as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based practices with fidelity.QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc) requiredRequired to be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health CounselorExperience working with children exposed to trauma preferredSkilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programsSpanish Speaking preferred and is compensatedFlexible schedule with some eveningsExcellent multitasking and communication skills a mustAbility to work independently and part of a teamBilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insuranceAbility to communicate effectivelyTravel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevatorsAbility to lift up to 20lbsMust be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirementsDon’t meet every single requirement?
