Sunshine Services is seeking a Community Services Assistant to provide person-centered supports across community participation, recreation, wraparound services, and individualized 1:1 supports.
The role involves coordinating transportation, completing reports, maintaining documentation, and representing the agency in community meetings and events. Requirements include a high school diploma and a Tennessee driver’s license, with preference for experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
The Community Services Assistant is responsible for providing person-centered supports to individuals participating in Sunshine Services’ community-based programs. Based on program and individual needs, this position may provide support through Community Participation, Recreation, Wraparound Services, individualized 1:1 supports, community activities, volunteer opportunities, and other services offered by Sunshine Services. Assignments and schedules may vary based on the needs of individuals supported and the organization.
Education Requirements:
A high school degree or equivalent is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Preference will be given to those with previous work experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
Position Requirements:
Complete certification classes for Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel. Complete all required DDA training in a timely manner. Maintain certifications and complete refresher training annually. Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and be insurable by the agency insurance company.
