University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Community Service Officer to support campus safety and a community policing approach. You’ll be a visible presence in residence halls and around campus, helping address concerns and connect students, staff, and visitors with resources.
Most shifts are overnight with some daytime events; you’ll patrol on foot and by vehicle, assist with building security, and respond to minor calls until officers arrive. A strong commitment to safety is essential.

In this role, you’ll be a visible and trusted presence in residence halls and throughout the university, creating a safe and supportive environment for all members of our community. Community Service Officers connect with students, faculty, staff and visitors, help address concerns, and contribute to practical solutions that strengthen the campus experience.
This role is essential to our 24/7 campus safety operations. Most shifts are overnight, with occasional daytime hours for special events. Flexibility is required, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Shift differential pay is provided when applicable.
