Morton College invites applications for part-time adjunct instructors to teach community education classes. The role involves designing, facilitating, and teaching courses in the instructor’s area of expertise, with daytime and evening offerings.
Requires a BA degree in Education or a related field and 1–2 years of teaching experience. You must foster an active learning environment, stay flexible, and maintain professional standards. Hourly rates apply per contact hour.
Teach and develop community education classes based in the instructor’s area of expertise to a diverse student population. Submit data on student attendance and progress as required. These courses will be offered during the day and evening. The responsibilities and duties of the instructor may change as the needs of the college arise.
BA degree in Education or relevant discipline. 1-2 years of teaching experience in the instructor’s area of expertise. Must have an ability to create an active learning environment and maintain a positive and energetic attitude. The candidate must be willing to take direction, be dependable, flexible, and punctual and show good judgment. Must be able to model appropriate teaching strategies.

Experience working in a community college and/or non-credit environment. Strong customer service skills. English-Spanish bilingual.
