Morton College in Chicago seeks an instructor to teach and develop community education classes across the instructor’s area of expertise. Courses will be offered in day and evening slots to serve a diverse student population.
The role requires designing lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, evaluating student progress, and maintaining accurate grade records. Duties include syllabus preparation, attendance tracking, and collaboration with Deans’ Office.
Teach and develop community education classes based in theinstructor’s area of expertise to a diverse student population.Submit data on student attendance and progress as required. Thesecourses will be offered during the day and evening. Theresponsibilities and duties of the instructor may change as theneeds of the college arise.
BA degree in Education or relevant discipline. 1-2 yearsofteaching experience in the instructor’s area of expertise. Musthave an ability to create an active learning environment andmaintain a positive and energetic attitude. The candidate must bewilling to take direction, be dependable, flexible, and punctualand show good judgment. Must be able to model appropriate teachingstrategies.

Experience working in a community college and/or non-creditenvironment. Strong customer service skills. English-Spanishbilingual.
