Job summary

Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located near Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Community Safety & Security Professional to join the Security Department. You will deter, detect, and respond to threats, while safeguarding members, guests, employees, contractors, and property.

The role requires prior armed security experience, a Tennessee Armed Guard License with Dallas Law training, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum armed security experience or background in law enforcement or military.
• Tennessee Armed Guard License with Dallas Law training is required.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Clear criminal background.
• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in high duress situations.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods and work indoors/outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced protection services at the Troubadour Golf & Field Club post.
• Provide superior customer service within department standards.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.
• Conduct proficiency and development training including quarterly firearm qualification and monthly sustainment training.
• Manage access-control using company tools and logs; deny unauthorized access.
• Identify safety hazards and security vulnerabilities and escalate to management.
• Communicate effectively (oral and written) and use basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Pass Shooting Qualification before offer and quarterly thereafter.

Job description

his role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club set outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Community Safety & Security Professional to join our Security Department.

Troubadour Community Safety & Security Professionals are a part of a highly trained professional team of safety, security, and medical responders and are encouraged to contribute their knowledge and skill for the benefit of the community and department. As part of the Department, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of all members, guests, employees, and contractors at The Troubadour Club. You will be responsible for deterring, detecting, and responding to potential and/or active threats directed at Troubadour members, guests, employees, contractors, and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to perform an advanced level protection services for members, guest, employees, and contractors while assigned to a designated post at the Troubadour Golf & Field Club.


• Provide superior customer service within the standards of the Department.


• Respond to emergency situations and provide the appropriate level of first aid.


• Conduct proficiency and development training to include quarterly firearm qualification, tactics training as well as monthly sustainment training.


• Provide access-control utilizing sound judgement and company provided tools such as access control systems or access control lists and logs.


• Detect, investigate, and deny access to unauthorized persons.


• Recognize and escape to management all safety hazards and security vulnerabilities detected through the course of shift.


• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, along with a working knowledge of basic computer functions and programs. (Word, Excel, Outlook Email, etc.)


• Maintain valid Tennessee Armed Guard License with Dallas Law training and valid CPR & First Aid certificates.


• Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, up to and including an entire shift.


• May be required to work outside of regular work hours at short notice.


• Work is normally performed inside and outside.


• Temperatures and weather conditions may vary.


• Able to pass the Shooting Qualification prior to offer and quarterly thereafter.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Armed Security (3 years minimum), Law Enforcement, or Military.


• Valid and current Tennessee Armed Guard License with Dallas Law training.


• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.


• Clear Criminal Background.


• High school diploma, GED, or higher education.


• Have the ability to work calmly and efficiently in high duress situations.


• Must be able to work and stand inside/outside during all weather conditions.


• Able to physically restrain individuals when the condition to detain exists.


• Able to pass Quarterly Shooting Qualification.


• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, along with a working knowledge of basic computer functions and programs (Word, Excel, Outlook Email, etc.)


• Have the ability to work calmly and efficiently in high stress situations.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.


• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Long hours may be required due to business demands.


• Ability to work in a team environment.


• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.


• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.


• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
