Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a dedicated Police Officer to protect life and property, enforce laws, and maintain public safety within the community. You will respond to calls, investigate incidents, and prepare detailed reports, while upholding integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or other eligibility required by law.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Eligibility for Texas peace officer licensure.
• Successful completion of all required background, physical, medical, psychological and other pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to complete required law-enforcement training and field training.
• Ability to meet department firearms proficiency and physical readiness standards.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and protect life and property.
• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
• Enforce federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
• Investigate reported crimes, disturbances, accidents, and other incidents.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from victims, witnesses, and involved parties.
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely incident, arrest, and investigative reports.
