Job summary

Posse members support the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office by maintaining public safety, providing security at community events, and assisting with law enforcement functions. You will patrol designated areas, guard inmates, and ensure a safe environment for residents and visitors while upholding professionalism and public trust.

Shifts are evenings and weekends, May–October, with sign-up for available shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Valid MN driver’s license with proof of insurance and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promote public safety and community service.
• Assist with guarding inmates and providing security at events.
• Work shifts at the county fair, Winstock festival, and county parks.
