Reed College is looking for Community Safety Staff to ensure campus safety and support student success. This full-time role requires excellent customer service and crisis intervention skills. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and training opportunities.
Reed College Community Safety Staff are part of the Office of Student Life and a team that supports student success and the college's mission. The Office of Community Safety provides campus safety and security services, including emergency preparedness, assisting students, responding to medical and mental health emergencies, reacting to fire and other alarms, and more. Our responsibilities begin with connecting with students, staff, and faculty as community partners. We are currently hiring for one full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is from 9 pm to 7 am, four days per week, which may include weekend shifts. Flexibility to work outside of scheduled shifts may be required. All new hires undergo a two-month Field Training Evaluation Program and ongoing in-service training. Starting pay is $21.81 per hour, plus a $1.25 per hour overnight shift differential.
