Job summary

Cornerstones of Care is seeking a Resource Officer to help maintain a safe environment across our campuses in the Kansas City area. The role involves security patrols, escorting personnel and visitors, de-escalation, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement as needed.

The starting hourly salary ranges from $24.00 to $28.00, based on education and experience, with full-time employment and opportunities to work at multiple agency locations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant security or safety experience.
• Ability to de-escalate and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Patrol agency facilities to deter crime and maintain security.
• Escort clients, staff, and visitors to ensure safety.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate action.
• Administer first aid when needed.
• Coordinate with police or security personnel as required.
• Prepare incident reports and logs for risk management.

Education
