Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Community Retail PRN Float Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. Float locations include Lexington, Hamburg, Richmond and Corbin, with responsibility for pharmacy operations and staff oversight in support of patient care.

You will assist the manager, ensure compliance with policies and 340B, perform dispensing, immunizations, and drug regimen reviews, and coordinate transitions of care across sites.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.
• Must obtain Immunization certification within 6 months.
• Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be available to travel to Lexington, Hamburg, Richmond and Corbin Community Pharmacies as needed.

• Provide drug regimen review, patient counseling, and immunization administration.
• Ensure compliance with policies, 340B program (if applicable), accrediting bodies, REMS, and state/federal regulations.
• Complete claim and invoice reconciliation; manage controlled substance ordering and inventory.
• Maintain immunization training records and storage conditions for medications.
• Support transitions of care from hospital to patient and coordinate care across sites.
• Perform duties of the Community Pharmacy Manager in their absence.

The Community Staff Pharmacist maintains appropriate patient record documentation for clinical and dispensing services. Adheres to best practices for medication safety and ensures appropriate documentation of medication events.
