Job summary

City of Gainesville is seeking a Community Resource Paramedicine Responder II to develop and deliver a proactive CRP program for the city, with in-person and telephone care coordination, safety checks, and follow-up support for residents in need.

You will assist in prehospital care, support the CRP Program Coordinator, and work with emergency crews to provide ALS/BLS services, evaluate patient needs, mentor interns, and help extend health resources to the community.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
• Paramedic certification including National Registry and Florida licensure.
• Associate’s degree preferred; valid driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies with fire crews and provide BLS/ALS care per protocols.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor rhythms, and administer medications as allowed.
• Coordinate care plans, referrals, and follow-ups to reduce hospital readmissions.
• Maintain equipment, participate in training, and support community health events.
