Position Overview

The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for generating new referrals, outreach, and marketing support in an assigned territory. This outside sales role involves educating clients and their families/support systems (including Regional Center staff) about Aveanna’s services. The goal is to drive revenue growth and ensure profitability by cultivating a network of referral sources. The role requires spending over 50% of working time outside the office engaging in outreach, selling activities, and relationship building.

Essential Job Functions

Frequent travel to Regional Centers – Covering Alta California, Redwood Coast, North Bay, and Far Northern Regional Centers. More than 50% of the time will be spent building relationships with Regional Center staff and clients.

Participate in offsite meetings, community events, and conferences to promote Aveanna, develop referral pipelines, and increase brand recognition.

Plan and execute events such as resource fairs, expos, and in-services, including budgeting and materials preparation.

Present educational sessions to Regional Center staff and public audiences.

Develop community relations initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market share.

Address inquiries and resolve issues from Regional Center staff, families, and clients.

Identify growth opportunities and new service lines.

Act as a liaison between Aveanna and Regional Centers or other community organizations.

Follow up on referrals and manage communication with referral sources and families.

Collect and manage feedback from community contacts and clients.

Requirements

High School Diploma

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Caring, positive, and empathetic attitude

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Bilingual ability (Spanish, Vietnamese, or other relevant language)

Preferences

Experience in community-based or social services

Knowledge of Regional Center systems

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Psychology, or related field
