Job summary

Chicago Fire FC's Community Relations / Chicago Fire Foundation Internship runs from September through December. Reporting to the Director, Community Relations, you will support planning and implementation of Foundation programs and community development initiatives in the Chicago area.

This role provides hands-on experience coordinating events, fundraising support, and administrative tasks within a major MLS club, with learning opportunities across foundation operations and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Previous community service experience or heart to serve others
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and use excellent judgment in escalating issues to supervisors
  • Proven ability to work on simultaneous projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, high-performing work environment
  • Knowledgeable of the Chicagoland Area
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordination of game day 50-50 raffle program
  • Assist in development and execution of present and future community relations programs
  • Assist with operational execution of the Foundation's proprietary P.L.A.Y.S. program including all logistics, securing new school and equipment, and program scheduling
  • Assist with Foundation marquee fundraisers including Marathon Charity Team, Locker Room Sale, Season Kickoff Luncheon, and others
  • Organize monthly autograph sessions and send out donation requests
  • Assist with administrative tasks, participant surveys and tracking, recaps, and grant writing
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Position Overview

Chicago Fire FC is seeking a Community Relations / Chicago Fire Foundation Intern! This role, reporting to the Director, Community Relations, will support the planning and implementation of Chicago Fire Foundation programs and community development initiatives. This internship will run from September through December.

Job Responsibilities

Compensation
  • This role offers a rate of $17.05 per hour
