Job summary

Hanover Township is seeking a Fall Community Relations Intern in Bartlett, IL. The intern will gain hands-on experience in township government operations and build their resume while working on promotional content, event planning, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate is a current student in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Political Science or related field, with strong writing and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Candidate is a current student pursuing a degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Political Science or related field.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, problem-solve and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating digital and print promotional content.
• Assist in planning Township events and representing Township at community events.
• Draft weekly e-newsletters and conduct light research/writing for officials and staff.
• Perform duties as assigned by staff.
