Job summary

UCP Heartland is seeking a Community Registered Nurse for a full-time salaried position in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires a Missouri RN license, at least one year of RN experience, and strong clinical assessment skills.

You will manage medical records, oversee EMAR accuracy, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality client care. This position includes on-call rotation, training duties for direct support staff, and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri
• One year of experience as a practicing RN
• Strong medical assessment skills
• Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer software

Responsibilities

• Ensure physician orders are present, current and complete; have orders signed before expiration date.
• Review medical records on a routine basis and respond with appropriate action.
• Maintain EMAR per physician orders; review staff entries for accuracy and coach as needed.
• Respond to calls and emails; participate in RN On-Call Rotation.
• Complete face-to-face assessments monthly to ensure health and identify signs of disease processes.
• Train and delegate duties to direct support staff; monitor competency.
• Mentor agency staff through Level 1 Med Aide training.
• Act as liaison between UCP Heartland and medical providers.
• Provide input to client care and attend ISP/transition meetings.
• Complete required documentation by deadlines; update HRST as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
