The State of Iowa seeks a Probation/Parole Officer 2 to work directly with clients, guiding their reentry and reducing reoffending risks. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to observe, assess, and document progress in ICON, using evidence-based methods like motivational interviewing and CBT.

Responsibilities include supervising court-ordered supervision, pretrial and parole caseloads, and adhering to performance standards while upholding ethics and integrity.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in any field.
• Four years of education and/or full-time experience in human services or criminal justice, with 30 semester hours equalling one year of experience.
• Current, continuous state executive branch experience including 18 months as Probation/Parole Officer 1.

Responsabilités

• Supervise individuals under court-ordered supervision and manage caseloads in ICON per performance standards.
• Apply behavior-change techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral strategies to facilitate client transformation.

Formation
