Naval District Washington (NDW) (NAF) seeks a Community Recreation Assistant to support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Community Recreation program at Washington Navy Yard, DC. You will assist in coordinating events, information resources, facility operations, ticketing, and rental services.

The role includes handling customer service, inventory, registrations, and outreach to partners on and off base, with occasional travel and irregular hours to meet program needs.

Formación

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities.
• Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the entire scope of Community Recreation activities.

Responsabilidades

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Collects fees from customers and handles POS transactions.
• Keeps daily sales records and prepares end-of-shift reports.
• Assists with registrations and event registrations.
• Manages equipment check-in/check-out and inventory controls.
• Supports recruitment, training and scheduling of Community Recreation staff.
• Plans and promotes MWR programs and special events.
