Job summary

Qualifications

• One year experience in a recreational or youth activity environment.
• No formal education is required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise recreation and cultural programs and events.
• Promote information to the public about activities.
• Set up, clean up and maintain designated areas.
• Maintain safe environments for employees, volunteers and participants.
• Enforce rules at facilities.
• Interact positively with the public.
• Maintain records and attendance of participants.
• May supervise young children in a nursery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Recreation aides may perform a combination of these duties.
