Job summary

Desert Recreation District in Mecca, CA, is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader to support and lead a variety of youth, teen, and adult recreational activities at parks and facilities. Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience facilitating a recreation or after-school program.
• Certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days of hire, to be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct recreation activities at parks, schools, and recreation centers.
• Supervise established programs for children and adults; follow curriculum.
• Assist with camps and large events; provide guidance under supervision.
• Ensure participant safety and administer basic first aid as necessary.
• Maintain logs, reports, and equipment inventories; assist with clerical duties.
