Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Recreation Coordinator to join our team in Welkom. You will plan, organize, and execute diverse recreational programs for community members, coordinating schedules, facilities, and safety.

You will engage participants of all ages and backgrounds, contributing to community engagement and well-being. The ideal candidate has a diploma or bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field and at least 2 years of experience in planning and coordinating

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and coordinating recreational programs or events.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for program delivery.
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in recreational settings.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement diverse recreational programs and events for various age groups.
Coordinate facility usage, including booking, setup, and cleanup for recreational activities.
Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers for program delivery.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
Promote recreational programs through various channels, including community outreach and social media.
Manage program budgets and track expenses to ensure financial accountability in Welkom.
